What a unique hard to find Victorian era wall mount tin double matchstick holder with mirror and try. Hard to imagine this surviving all of these years. The pattern really reminds me of Eastlake design. I think the silver paint on this piece is original but not quite sure. There is tin showing through because this piece was used.
The tray is a little off and I hope this comes through in the photos. This is not detracting to me but I have to point this out. The back is in good shape but most of the paint is gone and what you are seeing in the photograph of the back is the old patina of the tin, it’s not rust.
This double match holder also has the ribbed match strikers on the front. This piece measures approximately 7 1/4 inches in width by 8 inches in height by 3 inches front to back.
